Black Friday

If you are from anywhere other than the USA you are probably wondering What is Black Friday and why do we all get so excited about it?

Black Friday sales are actually held the day after Thanksgiving, which is why they are often called the Day After Thanksgiving Sales. Since Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday, the sales are always on a Friday.

The reason it is called Black is something that people disagree about, some people say it is because this is the day of the year when the stores go into profit “Into the black”.

Others say it dates back to Philadelphia and someone saying that the streets were black, basically there were so manypeople out shopping that you couldn’t see the sidewalks.

That is pretty much how we come by Black Friday although there are still lots of people who call them the Day After Thanksgiving Sales.

Whatever you call them the important thing is that you get ready for the craziest day of the year !
